Please stop reblogging awful shit just because it has OMG GAME REFERENCE in it.

I beg of you. Please show some fucking self-control.

And while we’re at it, don’t call something “8-bit” just because it’s a bit pixelated. That’s not what 8-bit is.

This is hilarious. I’m amazed at how quickly someone was able to knock out an Ocean Marketing parody video.

Just wanted to give everyone the heads-up since I received this email earlier.
Considering it says my account has been suspended and that my password has been changed but Steam logged itself in just fine, this email is complete bullshit. The steamcommunity.com link in there redirects to someplace called pharmaved.com, which is an Indian site, apparently, if the Google results are anything to go by.
If you get an email like this, don’t touch that shit.

o.O Another one? God, folks are trying to steal Steam accounts left and right!Such an asshole move.

Signal boost. Don’t let yourselves get screwed over by this scam.

Look at how most of those headlines say that he’s retiring, THEN mention he’s making smaller games (one doesn’t even mention that). I think a valid headline would be along the lines of “Miyamoto wants to work on smaller games”. Jim Sterling even wrote “It turns out that Shigeru Miyamoto’s “retirement” yesterday was the result of a misunderstanding at Wired” in Destructoid’s followup piece discussing Nintendo’s denial. But if you go read the original article, Miyamoto directly said “I’m not saying that I’m going to retire from game development … what i really want to do is be in the forefront of game development”. Hey Jim, that’s not a misunderstanding at Wired, that’s a misunderstanding at Destructoid (& Kotaku, & Joystiq …). At least you picked a sweet photo of Shiggy.

QUOTED FOR TRUTH: Lvl of Detail, Jad: Stepping Down? [Dec 8th 211]

THis more or less sums up the high levels of mental retardation that occurred across the field when Miyamoto told Wired he wasn’t going to retire, which everybody saw as an announcement that he’s going to retire.

Jesus. What a bunch of fucking rocket surgeons.

In general, we think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem. For example, if a pirate offers a product anywhere in the world, 24 x 7, purchasable from the convenience of your personal computer, and the legal provider says the product is region-locked, will come to your country 3 months after the U.S. release, and can only be purchased at a brick and mortar store, then the pirate’s service is more valuable. Most DRM solutions diminish the value of the product by either directly restricting a customers use or by creating uncertainty.

Something for @ubisoft to keep in mind the next time they moan about piracy.

The number of times I’ve watched this over the past few days and shaken my head at its sad veiled truthfulness, rather than LOLing at the hilarity, is staggering.

It’s still brilliant though; there really are no words. Bravo, Mega64. It was flawless. 9 out of 10.

Only a 9 out of 10? Look, I haven’t watched the video yet, but I know it’s worth at least a 9.5.
